Fling in a paragraph
Fling sends photos, files, links and text between your devices: iPhone, Android, Mac, Windows and any browser, on the same Wi‑Fi or different networks. You pair once by scanning a code, and there’s no account. After that, your devices are just there. iPhone photos reach a Windows PC as JPGs that open, still dated when they were taken, and a whole trip’s worth goes in one go. Files go straight from one device to another, encrypted end to end, and big ones, like a video, can go to anyone as a link. Fling is free, with no ads.
Who makes it
Fling is made by Bryson Thill, an independent developer. Bryson also made Just the Recipe, which strips everything but the recipe from cooking sites.
The facts
- Runs on iPhone and iPad, Android, Mac, Windows (from the Microsoft Store, or an installer for PCs without it), and any recent browser at fling.so/go, Chromebooks and Linux included.
- Works on the same Wi‑Fi or across different networks. Small things wait for a device that’s asleep.
- Costs nothing, with no ads.
- Account: none. Devices pair by scanning a code.
- Privacy: encrypted end to end. Our server introduces devices and can’t see what they send. The details.
Screenshots
